- racks pork side ribs(about 4 lb/2 kg), cut into 1-bone portions

- minced fresh ginger, divided

- Chinese 5-spice powder
- 15 mL
- 1 tsp

- honey

- 1/4 cup
- lime juice
- 60 mL
- 1/4 cup
- soy sauce
- 60 mL
- 2 tbsp
- finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 30 mL
- 1 tbsp
- toasted sesame seeds
- 15 mL
Directions
Step 1
Bring large pot of water (just enough water to cover ribs) to a boil. Add ribs, onion, 3 minced cloves garlic and 1 tbsp (15 mL) ginger. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 1 hr. 30 min. until very tender. Let ribs cool 15 min. in the cooking water. Drain (discard onion pieces) and season with Chinese 5-spice powder and salt. Set aside.
Step 2
In bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, soy sauce, remaining garlic and ginger.
Step 3
Preheat grill to high heat. Place ribs on grill; reduce heat to medium. Brush frequently with honey-soy glaze. Cook about 10 min., turning often, until glaze is sticky. Transfer ribs to platter. Sprinkle with cilantro and sesame seeds to serve.
